YMCA of the USA Names Tom Gardner as SVP/Chief Information Officer
Veteran IT Professional Brings 30 Years of Experience with Nonprofit and For-Profit Organizations
CHICAGO (February 4, 2022) — YMCA of the USA (Y-USA), the national resource office for the 2,600 Ys across the country, has appointed Tom Gardner as Senior Vice President/Chief Information Officer. In his new role, Gardner will be charged with advancing Y-USA's information technology efforts and furthering the impact YMCAs have on community via digital transformation. He will be responsible for driving significant change and the successful implementation of complex technology solutions that help Ys across the country strengthen communities.

Over the course of his decorated career, Tom has earned a reputation for being a collaborator and an orchestrator of technological and digital experience improvements that have a positive impact on organizational outcomes. Prior to joining Y-USA, Tom held senior-level positions with for-profit and nonprofit groups where he led all aspects of IT including vision and strategy development, architecture, data management, cybersecurity and operations. Most recently, he was with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in New York, serving as Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer.

Tom has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from University of Hartford.
