After School: I Learned to be Confident and Take Responsibility.
T’Jay has been going to the Sioux YMCA’s After School Program since he was eight. Now a junior in high school, he works in that very same program at his Y, where he is a role model and friend to the kids, while learning responsibility and building job skills at the same time. Gymnastics: It's Increased His Self-Esteem.
Gymnastics teaches young people flexibility, movement, teamwork and more. For Holden, it has helped manage his sensory processing disorder and increase his confidence. His parents are happy to see him making friends at YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region while learning that if you make a mistake, you can always get up and try again. This is his Y. His camera. His story.

Course Credit Recovery: Graduating is the Key to Success.
Balancing high school coursework with extracurricular activities and a job is no easy task. In YMCA of Greater Boston’s Credit Recovery Program, high school students are able to retake courses to improve their grades while also enjoying healthy dinners together and using the Y facilities to play sports and socialize. Thanks to CeCe’s participation in the program, she has learned to prioritize her schoolwork and is on track to graduate. This is her Y. Her camera. Her story.

Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring: I Feel Really Good About Myself.
When William’s blood pressure got too high, he knew he had to do something about it. He joined the YMCA of Memphis blood pressure self-monitoring program, and now not only is his blood pressure at a healthy level, but he has made friends at the Y and discovered fun new activities, like racquetball.
