We’re looking for an experienced preschool director to come join our Nevada Ready Preschool program. We are currently seeking a dedicated, passionate and cause driven leader for the following role: Nevada Ready Preschool Director.
Reports to: Branch Executive - Early Childhood Education
Salary Range: $39,520 - $44,200 per year plus the YMCA of Southern Nevada’s outstanding benefit package (medical, dental, vision coverage plus retirement plan and much more!) .

Major Responsibilities:
Utilizing the Nevada Preschool Content Standards must create a developmentally appropriate, research-based curriculum and participate in the birth to third-grade continuum alignment.
Develops the skillset of and leads Preschool staff. Reviews the effectiveness of employed personnel through observation and performance appraisals.
Ensures that Preschool license requirements are satisfied.
Maintains YMCA Preschool files and other required documentation in accordance with state licensure guidelines.
Prepares and submits reports as requested by supervisor and partner agencies in a timely manner.
Processes incoming program registrations and follows up on parent inquires via voicemail, email, fax and/or in-person within 24 hours of receipt.
Responsible for tracking all program invoices, collecting outstanding balances, and handling all other Preschool billing-related matters.
Tracks, reviews, and coordinates the Food Service Program, provided by Three Square, for distribution at the branch.
Coordinates parent and family involvement and collects data to determine the effectiveness of such efforts.
Contracts with and handles billing-related matters for all field trips.
Evaluates program quality and enrollment, and reports findings to the Branch Executive Director of Early Childhood Education.
Participates in the annual and longitudinal statewide program evaluation system required by Nevada Ready!, including analyzing outcome indicators and reporting to the Nevada Department of Education.
Promotes and implements YMCA character development in all curriculum, training, and supervisory endeavors.
Promotes a high standard of customer service for all members, program participants, and guests.
Contributes to a positive and inclusive environment, which welcomes and supports children with disabilities as well as families from economically disadvantaged households.
ABUSE RISK MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS:
Follows employees and volunteers screening requirements and use screening instruments to screen for abuse risk.
Provides employees and volunteers with on-going supervision and training related to abuse risk.
Provides employees and volunteers with regular feedback regarding their boundaries with youth.
Requires employees and volunteers to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse Responds quickly to policy and procedure violations using the organization’s progressive disciplinary procedures.
Responds seriously and confidentially to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors.
Follows mandated reporting requirements.
Communicates to all employees and volunteers the organization’s commitment to protect their consumers from abuse.
Reports essential abuse risk management information to their supervisor, executive director, or human resources

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in ECE or related field required. Two to three years’ experience as Preschool Center Director or equivalent position strongly preferred. Previous experience working with special populations (e.g., children with special needs and families with diverse socio-economic backgrounds), as well as prior interaction with QRIS and/or the Department of Education is beneficial. Bi-lingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
