Shawn leads Y-USA’s work to leverage the strength and expertise within the Y network to provide support and co-create solutions that help Ys strengthen their communities and make impactful change.

Prior to joining Y-USA, Shawn discovered her passion for the YMCA mission at a small Y in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Since then, her YMCA career has spanned across the country from Florida and New York to Texas and Chicago. Throughout that time, Shawn has held several operational leadership roles, including Membership/Program Director, Executive Director, District Executive Director, V.P. of Youth Development and Chief Operations Officer.

Shawn holds a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York College at Buffalo.
